5407 | CHARLES COULSON Charles L. Coulson was born in Niagara Falls in 1880, the youngest of 5 children, and the only son in the Coulson family. The family moved from Niagara Falls to Welland in the spring of 1884 when Coulson's father John accepted a position as governor of the Welland County Jail at the Welland Courthouse. The family lived in the governor of jail's residence - a brick home located on the Courthouse grounds. Charles graduated from the University of Toronto in 1905 as a mining/civil engineer. Upon his father's death in 1914, Charles took over the Welland climate station duties. He married around 1915, just before going overseas for World War I by August 1915. He returned to Welland from overseas duty in the summer of 1919, and as Welland city engineer resumed climate observations in July 1919 from his new residence at 53 Maple Ave. He would continue this responsibility until his death in January 1957 at the age of 76. Mr. and Mrs. Willoughby, Former Residents of Brockville Celebrate Their Golden Wedding at Carleton Place in Ottawa Ontario CanadaCarleton Place Canadian: Tuesday last was the anniversary of the fiftieth wedding-day of Mr. and Mrs. William Willoughby, Lake Avenue. It was made the occasion of a grand rally of the children. Ten were born, and ten survive. There has been nobreak. Seven came to the jubilee, namely, Walter, from Grand Rapids, Mich., bringing his w ife and daughter:George, Almonte, ex-Warden of the county, with his wife: Mrs. Edwards and her husband, Brockville: Mrs. Haydon and Mrs. Kelly with their husbands,Almonte: Isaac with his wife and children, from Pakenham: Susan, the youngest, lives at home. William, who has an extensive farm in Manitoba.Charles, a contractor in Regina, and Richard, a civil servant in Brandon, were unable to get away, but they sent golden mementoes. Walter came on Friday. It was unexpected as he sent no word. It is ten years since he met his parents, and there was great joy in the house. The scene on Tuesday of the flower-fringed lawns under the spreadinWilliam and Eleanor came to Canada in 1853 with their infant daughter Grace Anne (1) and William's three little brothers: Abraham (10), Isaac (7) and Jacob (4). An immigrant ticket at that time paid for two adults and four children. At that time, all emigrant tickets included fourchildren. Later money was sent for Mr. Willoughby's father, Charles and mother Marie. Also seven sisters and Mrs. Willoughby's Parents. Their journey to Montreal took nine weeks and nine days. They had to provide their own food en route. However, they were underway much longer than usual and ran out of food and had to buy more on board. When they landed they did not have enough money left to go on to Brockville where Eleanor hadcousins. William, a stonemason, got work in Montreal, and the family stayed on the ship??? As they left the ship Mrs. Willoughby found a purse containing a sum of money (including a gold coin) a very good omen. They went to Brockville, three years thence to Farmersville, now Athens, OntarioWilliam was a master builder and also acted as an undertaker. Mrs. Willoughby had a millinery shop. William went to night school and became a good reader and writer. Up to this time he had had very littleschooling.Later they moved to Almonte and then to Carleton Place. He built a great many buildings in this area. The stone bridges in Almonte and Packenhamare still standing .The Willoughby's were Anglicans when they came to Canada, but drifted into the Methodist Church. One Clergyman told Mr. Willoughby that he should stop curling with the Methodist Minister, that decided them. | Stinger, Eleanor "Helen" (I34014)

5423 | children as listed by Richard Edwards, sworn affidavit, 1886 ============== Gordon Hamilton, 2000 7. Thomas Edwards. Born in 1778 in Kilkenny Co, Ireland. Thomas died in Lanark Co, ON Abt 1850, he was 72. The information about this Thomas and his family, as well as descendant lineages from him, are probably fairly accurate, but his exact derivation from the earlier generations is considerably in doubt, although it is likely that he is derived in some way from this Edwards family that originated in Wales and moved to Ireland. Most correspondents indicate that this Thomas is the son of Robert as given here, but others suggest he is the son of Robert's brother Richard, and at least one suggests he is the son of Thomas and Anne Shirley rather than their grandson. This compiler puts Thomas here as most others have done, but it certainly should not be considered proven that this lineage is correct. According to reference 2, Thomas and his family lived in Ireland on an estate owned by Lord Clifton; the estate was managed by a person named Burchill who looked after the estate but lived in Gouran. Ship passenger lists indicate that Thomas and his family sailed from New Ross on the ship Maria (commanded by Captain Key) on May 4 and landed in Quebec on June 24, 1820.4 His son Richard may have come out earlier in 1818. Thomas and his wife settled 4 miles east of Franktown in Beckwith Township (Con 4, Lot 20 NE), Lanark Co, ON. Thomas died between 1848 and 1851. He appears on the census in 1842 & 1848. In 1851 Sarah is living with son Thomas Jr. and wife Jane. Thomas and Sarah's immediate neighbours in 1842 Beckwith Twp were Samuel Leach, John Lett, Thomas Saunders. There were many Salters in the area. Abt 1800 when Thomas was 22, he married Sarah Kinch, in Newton Barry, Carlow Co, Ireland. Born Abt 1780 in Kilkenny County, Ireland. Sarah died in Lanark County, ON aft 1851, she was 71. Buried in North Augusta, Grenville County, ON. They had the following children: 9 i. Robert E (1801-1873) 10 ii. Richard (1803-1888) 11 iii. Major Fisher came to Almonte in 1934 as mathematical master on the staff of the High School. He was a graduate of the University of Western Ontario at London and made a reputation for himself, there, in athletics, especially on the track. Seven years ago he married the former Miss Isobel Johnson of Almonte, a daughter of Mr and Mrs Adam Johnson. She survives together with a little daughter, Anne. Major Fisher went to Kingston in 1937 where he had been appointed to a position on the staff of the Collegiate Institute. He was interested in military affairs before the war and served as a lieutenant in the Princess of Wales Own Regiment. In 1940 Major Fisher transferred to active service joining the regiment in which he served to the end. He trained at Cornwall and went Overseas in 1941 where he was raised successively to the ranks of captain and major. At the time of his death he was only 35 years of age. Deceased was born at Tillsonburg, Ont, a son of Mr George Fisher and the late Mrs Fisher. In addition to his wife and child and the father, he is survived by a sister, Mrs Colburne Moon of Tillsonburg. No particulars of the brave officer's death were contained in the laconic telegram sent to his wife. At the time of delivery she had gone to visit her husband's father at Tillsonburg and had just arrived there when the sad message was relayed to her. While on the teaching staff of the High School Major Fisher was a popular and efficient teacher. He was a fine looking man and his pupils respected him. He had charge of athletics for the boys and was most successful in this line having excelled in it himself while at the university. During the few years he was a resident of the town he became well-known and when he decided to move to Kingston everyone who knew him was very sorry to see him and his wife leave although glad to know that he was gaining a well merited promotion. The sympathy of the entire community goes out to Mrs Fisher and her young daughter in the loss of a brave husband and father.1944, Thursday July 20 The Almonte Gazette page 8 Pay Tribute To Maj Frank Fisher Home Town Paper Tell of Brave Officer's Death On Active Service The following item regarding the death of Major Frank L. Fisher is taken from the Tillsonburg News: ? George Fisher received the sad news on Wednesday morning that his only son, Major Frank Lester Fisher, had been killed in action at Caen, France. Major Fisher's wife and five-year-old daughter, Anne, arrived her on Tuesday evening from Almonte to visit his father. On Wednesday morning she learned that a cablegram had arrived in Almonte to inform her of her husband's death. Major Fisher was one of Tillsonburg's most popular young man. He was born here and attended the local schools. After graduating from the Tillsonburg High School, he attended the University of Western Ontario. He taught in the Almonte High School and afterwards in the Kingston Collegiate, from where he enlisted in the D.S.G. Highlanders. He went overseas about three years ago. An active participant in the country's sports, Major Fisher played first base on the town's baseball team for several years. He was beloved by his fellow students during the years he spent at Tillsonburg High School, where he was a leader in the school activities. He was a member of St Paul's United Church. He had one sister, Mrs Colburne Moon. | Fisher, Major Frank Lester (I13254)

5441 | Clarice Rosanne Hudelson 54, of Boise, Idaho was born December 29th, 1963 in Salt Lake City Utah at Holy Cross Hospital to Omar L. Homme and Margarethe B'Anne Hinrichsen Follingstad Homme. On May 3rd, 2018 she returned to her heavenly father after a courageous battle with cancer and is now dancing with the King of Kings and Lord of Lords and all who preceded her. She spent most of her last months at home with her companion and pugs and spent the last week and a half at Life Care Center which helped so much in easing of care giving from those who needed to just sit and have quality time in those last few days. She was most recently preceded in passing by her Mother, Margarethe B'Anne, Brother, Bruce Homme, Husband, Burke Anthony Hudelson and her Father, Omar Homme. Clarice is survived by her son, Kyle Jordan Hudelson, Brother Mark Homme, Sisters Valerie Gerardi, Cheryl L. Patterson and many nieces, nephews and Jean Zimmermann who was a 2nd mother to her. Also surviving, is her recent companion Scott Putnam, who gave of his time and care giving in their entire relationship and who was by her side as she went home to our Heavenly Father. Honorably mentioned surviving are her two best companions, Peanut and Izzy, the Pugs she so adored, who have been left in the care of Scott at her request. Clarice spent her youngest years ?. 1 to 3 in Salt Lake City. In 1966, the family moved to the Treasure Valley where she attended Valley View grade school. Then in 1974 her father transferred his Federal employment to Sacramento, California where she Graduated from Mira Loma High. At age 29, September 11, 1993, Clarice married Burke Anthony Hudelson (who also consequently passed at the same age of 54)? Tony adopted her son Kyle and truly assumed the natural father role never considering Kyle as not being his very own . Tony loved Kyle and spent as much time possible, being the dad a child needs. Tony even joined the ski patrol so he could be with Kyle on the ski hill. Clarice worked most of her career in the insurance industry with the majority as a workers' compensation claims adjuster. She was very will accomplished and as many would put it "knew her stuff" when it came to anything she wanted to accomplish in her career. Clarice loved her family and friends, and always desired everyone to be upbeat and happy. Her joyful wit and sense of humor could always make you laugh. We will always cherish her and the memories we have. If you would like to donate in her name, her favorite charities were The Idaho Human Society, the Pug Pals Rescue Group and of course the Cancer Society. In her desires, Clarice wrote: "Love one another, forgive anyone and everyone for the Lord will forgive you in the same manner."
