5683 Death came with shocking suddenness to Mrs Wm Paul, and bereft the home over which she had presided for nineteen years as the wife and mother of her loving ministrations. On Saturday morning she was in her usual good health; in the afternoon she complained of not feeling well, and a doctor was called. On Sunday he diagnosed the trouble as appendicitis, and Mrs Paul was brought to th R.M. hospital, and on Monday an operation was performed. The case proved to be a serious one, and not much hope of recovery was held out by the doctors, though up to Wednesday she was bearing the strain hopefully, but suddenly natures forces gave out, and early this Thursday morning she passed quietly away. The late Mrs Paul was Christina Porterfield, a daughter 0t the late John Porterfield of Ramsay, and was married to Mr Paul, and the balance of her life was spent within a short distance of her father's home. Beside Mr Paul, three children are left to mourn the loss that has fallen upon them. These are Olive, aged 18 years; Melville, 16 years, and Edna, 10 years. Mrs Paul was a member of St John's church, and her life was one of consonance with the profession she was made. the funeral will take place on Saturday at 2 o'clock from her husband's residence, 7th line Ramsay, to the eighth line cemetery. Porterfield, Christena (I7073)
