Betty Leeson Bride Of Gordon McKenzie Among the first of Easter's interesting coterie of weddings was that at which Miss Elizabeth (Betty) Leeson, daughter of Mr. J. S. Leeson of Winnipeg and the late Mrs. Leeson, became the bride of Mr. Gordon H. McKenzie, son of Mi-, and Mrs. H. McKenzie of this city. Rev. Canon Harold King officiated at the service that was solemnized at 11:30 o'clock this morning in St. Paul's Anglican Church. The bride, given in marriage by Mr. Paxton, was attended by Miss Mayme Gehrke, and Mr. Alex. Macau-ley was best man. Black and white pin-striped crepe fashioned the smart frock ensemble worn by the bride, whose felt chapeau and accessories were Paddy green, and flowers were Talisman roses en corsage. Brown taffetta, fashioned in the Margot maimer wiUi jacket of green and brown plaid", tne sleeves full-topped, was smart on Miss Gehrke, whose rough straw hat and accessories were brown and flowers were roses. Immediately after the ceremony, the principals left on their wedding journey and on returning will reside in the city. WEDDING BRYDGES --- THOMPSON source Keith Thompson, Clayton, Ontario mewspaper clippings (2 4 3) An interesting wedding took place at the Baptist parsonage on Wednesday of last week when Miss Myrtle Thompson, daughter of Mr. William Thompson was married to Mr. Wilbert Brydges, son of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Brydges. Rev. Victor Collins officiated. Owing to a recent bereavement in the bride's family, the marriage cermony was very quietly observed. The young couple are both very well known, however, and the wedding gifts were very numerous. After the ceremony there was a family gathering at the home of the bride. Mr. and Mrs. Brydges will reside at the groom's house on the 12th. line of Ramsay. Mrs Brydges was beautifully gowned in blue canton crepe. English, 210 Oak St., on the afternoon of Sept. 10, when their only daughter, Kathleen May, became the wife of Raymond Livingston Betts, of Wentworth, N.S. Dr. C. E. Bland officiated. Ferns, with gladioli and sweet peas, formed a setting for the bridal party. The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of skipper blue georgette and lace on long flowing lines, and having a girdle of velvet in a deeper shade. With this she wore a French model hat of blue felt Her flower were Talisman roses and mauve babys' breath tied with streamers of tangerine tulle. Miss Beryth Ross played the Bridal Chorus from Lohengrin a the bride entered the drawing - room, and during the signing of the register Mr. Fitz-Herbert Hughes sang "Calm as the Night". Following the ceremony a reception was held. The bride's table, centred with the wedding cake. had tall tapesr of palest pink In siliver candlesticks at the four corners. Low bowls of sweet peas carried out the color scheme in other parst of the room. Later Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Betts left for Mlnaki, the bride travelling In a costume of navy blue and a small model hat of the same ahade. With this she wore a platinum fox fur. On their return they will reside In Winnipeg.
