8004 | Married Aug. 19, 1950, ossw Betty J. Ralph F. Ammerman, age 73, of Two Rivers, died Monday, May 21, 2001, at the Hamilton Memorial Home, Two Rivers. Funeral services will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, May 24, 2001 at St. Luke's Catholic Church, Two Rivers. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Larry Seidl. Burial of Ralph's cremated remains will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers. Ralph was born Jan. 18, 1928, in Manitowoc, son of the late Joseph and Regina Rock Ammerman. He attended Two Rivers Washington High School and graduated with the class of 1946. He then entered the U.S. Army from 1946 until 1948, serving in Korea with the 7th Division. On Aug. 19, 1950, he married the former Betty Jane Cain in Manitowoc. Ralph was employed as an installer for Emmons-Napp, retiring in 1988. He was a member of the Men of St. Luke's and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Survivors include his wife Betty, three sons and two daughters-in-law; one daughter and son-in-law; 10 grandchildren. He is further survived by many other relatives and friends. Friends may call at St. Luke's Catholic Church, Two Rivers, on Thursday, May 24, 2001, from 4 p.m. until the time of service at 6:30 p.m. The Klein and Stangel Funeral Home and Cremation Care Center of Two Rivers is assisting the family with funeral arrangements. The family extends their sincere appreciation to the staff at Hamilton Memorial Home for the excellent care and concern shown to Ralph during his stay. Orangeville Sun, December 10, 1908, page 1 - Mono Mills - TOM KIDD DEAD On Friday afternoon all that was mortal of Thomas Kidd was laid to rest in St. John's cemetery, 7th Line, Mono. Tom Kidd was a well-known man in these parts for many years. He was a son of the late John Kidd, the old man who married Gertie Robbins over a decade ago. Tom Kidd was a very eccentric character and a couple of years ago he was adjudged insane and was sent to the Mimico asylum. While there he was a quiet patient. He imagined he was the owner of the asylum and all the other big buildings in sight and took great delight in showing visitors about his property. Cedar Hill Zion United Church was the scene of a pretty spring wedding on Saturday, May 20th, at 7 p.m., of Edith Anne Lawson and Carson Albert Timmins. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Lawson of Cedar Hill and the groom is the son of Mrs. Mary Timmins and the late Mr. Harvey Timmins. Rev. Winnfred Henley officiated, at the double ring ceremony when the bride was given in marriage, by her father. Sharlyn Gilmour and Joan Lowry were heard in two duets at accompanied on the piano by Sandy Stewart. The bride was attended by her sister, Mrs. Marion Fleming as Matron of honor and a cousin Miss Elsie Penman as bridesmaid. They were similarly dressed in street length dresses of pink and yellow and carried nosegays of mauve and white mums. Mr. Arthur Timmins, brother of the groom acted as best man and the ushers for the occasion were Mr. Earl Fleming, brother-in-law of the bride and Mr. Russell Sadler for the groom. The bride's gown was fashioned with fitted bodice with tiers of lace over net on the full length white skirt, featuring a square neckline and finger-tip sleeves. She had a shoulder length veil of net with brocaded white roses and seed pearls. She carried a bouquet of red sweetheart roses and stephanotis. Later a reception was held at the Pakenham Community Center and from there the happy couple left on a short motor trip. For travelling the bride chose a pale green dress with white accessories.
