A wedding of interest to local people was that of Miss Evelyn Rowan, daughter of Mrs. Agnes Rowan, to Morrice C. Lane, of Wahjamega. son of Mr. and Mrs. Orin Lane of Gilford. Mich., which occurred in the Presbyterian church here at 4 o'clock Christmas day. Rev. Manson Lowe read the ceremony before 24 guests. The couple were attended by Miss Jean McBain of Delton and Glenn McDonald of Fairgrove.
The bride wore a wine-colored crepe dress with brown accessories, and a shoulder corsage of white rosebuds. Miss Betty Shaefer played an organ prelude of wedding selections before the ceremony, and the processional and recessional.
Following the ceremony a buffet luncheon was served in the parlors of the church by intimate friends of the couple, after which they left lor a short honeymoon trip. Mrs. Lane graduated from the Paw Paw high school in the class of 1934 and has recently finished a course in occupational therapy at Kalamazoo State hospital where she is now employed. The groom is employed in the State hospital at Wahjamega, also as a therapist.
