Becomes Bride of Donald Reeves, Moose Jaw 15Y a ceremony performed at 3:30 on Saturday afternoon by Rev. H. H. Upton at the First Baptist church. Miss Lillian Geneva Hamilton, of Regina, became the bride of Mr. Donald Reeves, of Moose Jaw. The church was thronged with friends of the couple. The bride Is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. A. .Hamilton, Reg'na, and the groom is the son of Mr. Frank Reeves, of Swift Current, and the late Mrs. Reeves. Mr. II. Percy Hamilton, Regina, brother of the bride, and Miss Ada Reeves, Swift Current, sister of the groom, were the best man and the bridesmaid; and the ushers were Messrs. Jack Chalmers, Swift Current, and Shirley Johnson, of Avonlea. Palms, cut flowers and potted plants graced the church. The bride was given away by her father. Captain James Mitchell was the organist, and Mrs. C. P. Helstrom sang charmingly "My World." The bride wore a gown of Ivory double georgette, richly trimmed with Alencon lace, the long train of lace and georgette falling In I pane effect. Her veil was of silk net flecked with eilver leaves and arranged in Juliet cap style with a coronet of seed pearls. She carried a bouquet of Talisman roses and orchids with a shower of 'silver ribbon. The only piece of Jewelry worn by the bride was her grandmother's wedding ring. The bridesmaid's frock was of French blue silk organdy with which she wore a beige hat and accessories. Her shower bouquet was of carnations. The bride's mother wore a midnight blue crepe costume with picture hat to harmonize and a corsage of Talis man roses; and Mrs. R. Kinne, the bride's sister, wore a dark blue figured crepe romalne dress with becoming hat and a corsage of dark red roses. Messrs. Robert Usher, R. Lees and J. Chalmers. The out-of-town guests were: Mr. Shirley Johnson, of Avonlea; Mrs. Jean Fumerton, Meyronne; Mrs. Fred Hamilton with Evelyn, Wil liam and Howard, of Balcarres; Mr. Frank Reeves, Miss Ada Reeves and Mr. Jack Chalmers, of Swift Current; and the following from Moose Jaw: Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lees, Mr. and Mrs. Phil West, Mr. and Mrs. Mose Legge, Robert and Irene Legge, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Clark, Mr. and Mrs. Len Holmes, and Mr. and Mrs. CUff Boyd. Telegrams of congratulations were received from many friends. The newly married couple left on a three weeks trip to Yellowstone park, the bride wearing a national blue ensemble with a Gainsboro hat. On their return Mr. and Mrs. Reeves will take up residence in Moose Jaw. Society in Ottawa Reception Held A reception and dinner was held In the blue and gold room of the Hotel Champlaln when 80 guests were received by the bridal couple and their attendants, and by Mr. Frank Reeves, Swift Current, and Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Hamilton. The dinner table was centred by the bride's cake and orange blossoms, and the decorations Included bowk of pink peonies and carnations with rose tapers In silver holders, OTTAWA, June 11. The Gover nor-General, attended by members of his staff, was present at the press gallery dinner In the parliamentary restaurant Saturday night. The Governor-General and the Countess of Bess-borough attended morning service at Parkdale United church today, and His Excellency unveiled a war memorial tablet la the church after the service. Sir Mlachael Cu line-Seymour and Capt. Flsherrowe were in attendance, j Lady Bessborough will attend a luncheon of the Women's Institute of the province of Quebec, meeting at Macdonald college next Wednesday. The luncheon la being ar ranged by tne school of household science with the assistance of the Macdonald Women's union. Mrs. G. P. Matthews left Sunday for Vancouver, where she will spend the next few weeks. The Governor-General and Lady Beesborough will attend Toronto's centennial pageant at exhibition park early in July. Net is being promoted by dress houses in practically all price lines. in daytime developments, the all- net costume as well as the costume with crepe frock and net coat or Jacket, with navy, brown and black all stressed.
Mr. and Mrg. W, A. Hamilton announce the engagement of their youngest daughter, Lillian Geneva, to Mr. Donovan Reeves, Moose Burn-j Jaw, the son of Mr. Frank Reeves, of Swift Current, and the late Mrs. I Reeves. The wedding will take place early in June.
