  	1949, Thursday July 14, The Almonte Gazette front page A.K. Sutherland Dies Word was received here of the death on Wednesday, July 13th, at Milwaukee, Wis., of A.K. Sutherland, a native of Ramsay Township. The remains will arrive at Carleton Place on Saturday on Saturday, July 16, at 4.30 p.m., and will be conveyed directly to the Auld Kirk Cemetery. About two weeks ago Mr and Mrs Sutherland visited the former's sister Mrs A.G. Young, and Dr Young of Smiths Falls and also spent a day in Almonte. Mrs Young was formerly Miss Maizie Wylie, daughter of the late Mr and Mrs Wm H. Wylie of Almonte.
