  (Research):Bill Mains had a conversation with John Kidd about Thomas Kidd: John recalled that his moth (Nettie Leach Kidd), said that when Nicholas Leach died, there was difficulty settling his estate because Thomas could not be contacted. The last contact the family had with him was when he left to live in Iowa. Possibly he became part of a group whish included relatives, Maria Kidd Gibson and Mary Ann Garland Scott who settled in Union County, Iowa, both of whom were first cousins.
