Peacefully at the home of his daughter Myrtle and with his family at his side on Thursday, September 9, 2004, four days following his 94th birthday. Roy L. Thompson of Almonte Dearly loved husband for 68 years of Vera M. Argue and beloved father of Phyllis Dack (Glen) and Myrtle McNeely (Allan) both of Almonte and Linda Thompson of Ottawa. Special granddad of 5 grandsons; David, Arthur & Timothy Dack and Phillip & Matthew McNeely. Predeceased by his sister Mrs. Myrtle Brydges and also survived by many Brydges nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the C.R. GAMBLE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 127 Church Street, Almonte for visiting on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Saturday to Almonte Baptist Church for Service at 11 a.m. Rev. Paul Benson officiating. Interment Auld Kirk Cemetery, Almonte. Donations in memory of Roy may be made to the Almonte Baptist Church and would be most appreciated by his family.
