  	1955, Thursday March 31, The Almonte Gazette, page 8 Mrs H.M. Snedden The funeral of Mrs Mansfield Snedden was held on Monday afternoon at the Fleming Funeral Home, Carleton Place, where Rev N. T. Holmes conducted the service. Mrs Snedden died at the Cameron Nursing Home, Carleton Place. She had been ill for several years and was in her 80th year. The former Agnes Barker Coxford, she was born at Blakeney, daughter of the late James Coxford and Mary Kennedy. She received her education there and was married at Almonte in 1900 to Mr Snedden who died in 1933. She spent most of her life in Ramsay and at Appleton. She attended the United Church and was a life member of the W.M.S. Surviving are two sons, Harold and Herbert R. Snedden of Appleton; two brothers, Herbert Coxford of Almonte and Thomas Coxford of Ottawa and one sister, Mrs Charles Black of Fort William, and six grandchildren. The pallbearers were William Anderson, Hollie Lowry, Hubert; I Syme, Harry Young, Robert Reid and Russell Lyons. The remains were placed in St James' vault and interment will be in the Auld Kirk Cemetery in the Spring.
