  	Possibly the son of Margaret (Cowie) Lockhart he is found with her and her parents on the 1871 Census at North Burgess Twp. as "Walter Shaw Cowie." Margaret Cowie married Arthur Lockhart September 4th, 1873 at Almonte and Walter is found with them on the 1881-1901 Censuses and with his widowed mother on the 1921 Census. He is found again at Almonte on an 1935 voter's list working as a painter. He is recorded on an 1955 voter's list as an inmate at the House of Industry and Elmwood Burial records record his death there on December 11th.
