?b?Lawrence Elliott Fatally Injured In Car Crash?/b?
Lawrence Randolph Elliott, 25, of Almonte, died in an automobile crash on Highway 29, four miles north of here early last Thursday morning. The other occupant of the car, 33-year-old Carson Munro of Almonte, is a patient in Ottawa Civic Hospital suffering from chest injuries. Lawrence Elliott was born at Almonte, October 26, 1941, a son of Randolph Elliott and Adeline King. He received his education in Almonte Public and High Schools, and at the time of his death was employed as a millwright with A.D. Ross at Carp. He resided at 15 Malcolm street and was a member of Almonte United Church. He was married at Almonte to Diane Wright, daughter of Mr and Mrs Alex Wright of town, who survives, together with one daughter, Kelly Lee, and his parents. Also surviving are one brother, Merril, of Almonte, and five sisters, Greta, Mrs Leonard Barr of Lanark; Georgina, Mrs Ronald Blair, Kemptville, Ollie, Mrs Don Erickson, Stouffville, and Joan and Dianne at home. The funeral was held from the Comba Funeral Home Church street, on Saturday at 2.30 o'clock, to Almonte United Church for service. Burial was made at Auld Kirk Cemetery, Rev H.A. Skoutajan conducted the services. Pallbearers were Garnet Barr, David Kean, Delbert Barr, James Gleeson, Alyre Gallant and George Larocque
