Born in Ireland over eighty-two years ago Eliza McLinton came with her parents to Canada, they settled in Goulbourn, where the deceased spent her life until her marriage about fifty years ago to Mr. Robert Duncan of Ramsay. After their marriage Mr. and Mrs. Duncan took up their residence on the Eleventh line, where their home was until they were called away. To them seven children were born. These are Robt and David at Cartwright, Man; James and Margaret (Mrs Geo Robertson, Winnipeg; Mary (Mrs J.K. Simpson), Ashton; Alex, New York and William at home. Mrs Duncan is the last member of her fathers family. The deceased was of a quiet and retiring nature, but a good neighbour and one respected by all. She was for many years a consistent member of St. Andrews Church, Almonte. the funeral will take place on Saturday at 2 o'clock from her late residence to the eighth line cemetery.
