- ?b?THOMAS?/b? - Olive Fern Thomas (nee Quibell) passed away at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home. Edmonton, AB on Friday, June 7, 1996 in her 87th year. The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, June 12 at 1:00 p.m. from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at 10th Street and Cumberland Ave., Saskatoon, SK. Surviving are her son, Keith (Kris) of Trout Lake, BC and grandchildren, Vicki (Gary) Woolger, Donna (Fred) Hayne and Gary; her daughter, Carol (Bob) Garland of Sylvania. SK and grandchildren. Robert (Kelanie) and Tammy (Roland) Doerksen. Also survived by five great-grandchildren, David, Brian and Krista Woolger and Blair and Megan Hayne; and daughter-in-law, Martha Thomas; brother, Cecil (Hilda) Quibell and family; sister-in-law, Clara Quibell and family; sister-in-law, Gladys Quibell and family; and brother-in-law, Elmer Thomas, She was preaeceased by her husband, Edgar Wilson Thomas; her parents, Henry and Ada Jane Quibell; and brothers, Floyd and Neville. The late Mrs. Thomas was born June 17, 1909 in Bobcaygeon, ON. Her family moved to Conquest, SK to Homestead when she was a year old. Olive grew up in the Conquest and Young area, and Last Mountain where she completed her education. She worked in Rosetown and Moose Jaw where she met and married her husband, in 1930. 0liive and Edgar lived in Wynyard and Leslie and farmed near Silver Park before moving to Saskatoon in 1950. For the past ten years she has lived in Edmonton, AB. Olive will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by family and friends, Interment in Woodlawn Cemetery. A Service will be held in Edmonton, Tuesday, June 11, 1996. Arrangements are in care of Harmony Funeral Services, Edmonton, AB.
