  James was possibly the son of Eliza's sister Jane. DATE 1915 (Research):Eliz Duncan notes suggest born in 1861. Alaska records suggest 1862. Alaska records: Resident in 1900 - Sourthern Supervisor's District, Alaska 1910 - 1-Division ?u?Bill Duncan got info from M & E Kidd, 185 Joseph St., CP, ON, K2C 4S9?/u? Juneau opened its first hospital when the Sisters of Saint Ann decided to expand their mission to Alaska. The Sisters arrived in Juneau on September 11, 1886. The Sisters operated St. Ann's Hospital in Juneau until March 1968 when they leased the building to the City and Borough of Juneau for $100 per year. At that time a new site was required to build a replacement hospital. In 1965 The Borough of Juneau appointed a Greater Juneau Borough Hospital Planning Committee. The new hospital , Bartlett Regional Hospital, opened its doors on August 19, 1971. Dr. James K. Simpson, 25, graduate of the medical school in the University of Minnesota, joins Dr. H.S. Purchased property in Victoria on 5th Dec 1912 - lot 22 Victoria City as shown on plan of subdivision, numbered 432 On settlement of estate land transferred to George Edward Simpson, late of city of Ottawa, now of City of Calgary.
