  	Duncan - Jakes 18 Aug 1903 Mr. and Mr. J. Duncan, Mr. and Mrs. S. Duncan and miss Duncan were at Merrickville on Tuesday attended the marriage ceremony of Mr. A. Duncan formerly of that town, and a son of Mr. J. Duncan, who is leaving Merrickville to enter into a drug business with Mr. W. Rae, in Regina. The service was conducted in Trinity church by Rev. Mr. Houston, in the presence of a large audience of friends and relatives. The bride was Miss Jennie Jakes, daughter of Mr. S. Jakes, a respected resident of Merrickville. At the close of the service a wedding dinner was served to numerous guests and then the young couple left for their home in Regina via the great lakes, taking with them a host of good wishes and a great array of presents, the tokens of respect and friendship.
