  	William Fitzgibbons was born December 1860 in Beloeil, Quebec. His parents were Michael and Catherine (Scanlon) Fitzgibbons who were born in Ireland. William married Mary Jane Clark, a minor and daughter of John Smith Clark and the late Mary (Neelin) Clark. The marriage was on 17 April 1893 in Lambton, Ontario. Their son Edward was born 24 November 1895 in Crystal Springs, New York, U.S.A. William worked as a drayman in 1900 in Rumford, Maine. In 1910 he worked as a laborer for the railroad in Rumford. Their daughter, Agnes Mary, and son, William Jr. , were born in Rumford. In 1911 they lived in Lambton, Ontario. William died on 2 October 1925 in New York and was buried in Calvary Cemetery.
