Suddenly and peacefully in his sleep at the Queensway Carleton Hospital on Thursday March 4, 2021 in his 79th year. Loving husband of Liz for 51 years. Loving dad of Jeff (Tammy), Terry and Amanda (Matthew). Grandfather of Jessica (Brady), James (Kim), Taylor (Jesse), Cole (Jasmine), Hunter, Reid and Lena. Great-grandfather of Cory. Previously deceased by his parents Harry and Ethel Metcalfe and sister Rae (Vic). Survived by his siblings Cindy (Joe-deceased) and Kay (Jim-deceased). Will be remembered by his nieces and nephews. Dearly missed by his faithful dog Misty. Friends may support the family at the Alan R. Barker Funeral Home on Sunday March 7, 2021 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A private family service will be held. Please note that face masks are mandatory at all times, social distancing must be observed with no physical contact. The service will be streamed live on Monday morning beginning at 10:25.
