Fern Shippey for 64 years. Survivors: wife, Fern; daughter Jane Umphress; sons Gary, Marvin Jr., Allan, Steven and Tim all of Salem. Brothers; Jerry A. Shippey of Salem, and Merlin Shippey of Sanger, Texas and sister Donnah Shippey of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Preceding his death was brother Dallas Shippey of Salem. 43 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren. His family and friends will remember Marvin for his kindness and love for family. He was a member of the First Nazarene Church at his passing of 30 years. A Memorial Service will be held at the First Nazarene Church in Salem, 1550 Market Street, N.E. at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, January 24, 2005. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the First Nazarene Church to be given to Mrs. Marvin Shippey, Sr.
