  	Alfred George Bassett was the son of Richard Bassett, stableman, and his wife Elizabeth Hale. He married married Matilda Campbell Forgie in Ottawa, Ontario on July 15, 1911. Alfred's sister Emily (Bassett) Welch is also buried in this cemetery. Obituary Transcript In Civic Hospital, Ottawa, on Friday, December 28, 1984, in his 102nd year. Alfred Bassett of 421 Mayfair Avenue, beloved husband of the late Matilda Forgie and dear father of Mrs. Jean McConnell and George, both of Ottawa. Grandfather of Garth McConnell (and his wife Louise). Great-grandfather of Kenneth. Brother of Mrs. Emily Welch of Ottawa, Mrs. Nellie Woods of Victoria and the late Mary and Harry. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
