- Dorothy Kathlyn Brown age 91, was born in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada, to Russell and Evelyn Kinnee, on March 2, 1917. She met her life mate, Jack Brown, at the Regina Rowing Club, and they were married on Jack's birthday March 16, 1939, in Vancouver, British Columbia. While Jack served in the Royal Canadian Air Force during World War II, Dorothy returned to her childhood home. After years of transferring back and forth across Canada with the Air Force, Jack and Dorothy and their two sons, Scott and Gary, moved to Tucson, Arizona in January 1966. Many years were spent square dancing, golfing, and making ceramics at Tucson Estates. They moved to Santa Catalina Villas in 1998. Dorothy is preceded in death by her beloved Jack (2001), and grandson, Parker. She passed away on Tuesday, September 9, 2008 at SonLight Adult Care Home. Dorothy is survived by her sister, Delores; son, Scott (Barbara); son, Gary; six grandchildren, Matt (Amy) of Denver, Jennifer (Jeremiah) of Argentina, Justin (Erica) of North Carolina, Eric, Jessica and Daniel all of Tucson and five great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, September 14, 2008, 3:00 p.m. at Foothills Community Church, 3301 W. Overton. Arrangements by ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Avalon Chapel, (742-7901).
