Dear brother of Catherine (Mrs Thomas Haller), Almonte; George, Ottawa. Predeceased by Delta (Mrs Fred Grindley), and Isobel Gereckie. In his 84th year. Rested at the Kerry Funeral Home, 154 Elgin Street, Almonte, where service was held on Tuesday at 2 p.m. Rev Ed Smith officiating. Interment Auld Kirk Cemetery.

The death of Mr Eldred Park "Jimmy" Jamieson of R.R.3, Almonte, occurred at the Almonte General Hospital on Saturday, December 24, 1977, after a lengthy illness. He was 83 Mr Jamieson was born in Renfrew in 1894, a son of the late George William Jamieson and his wife, Isabel Eleanor Lavendure. He received his education in Renfrew and Kinburn schools and Queen's University. Following graduation from Queen's he was engaged in the lumber industry in Algonquin Park and later became a highway contractor ? his firm operating under the name Clyde Construction Co. Several years ago he constructed the road from Almonte to Arnprior and since that time he spent his summers at his home on the shores of the Indian River just of the ninth line, and his winters in Florida, Texas and other southern points. He retired from the construction business 36 years ago. Among Mr Jamieson's interest since his retirement have been his lawns and gardens and working in his shop at his home near Almonte. Mr Jamieson was twice married. His first wife, Aileen Louise Hudson, whom he married on Toronto Island on August 14, 1929, predeceased him in 1971. On January 30, 1975, he was married at Carleton Place to Audrey C. (Armour) Dulmage, who survives. Also surviving are a brother George of Ottawa an a sister, Mrs Katherine Airth Haller of Almonte. Two sisters, Mrs Delta Mae Grindley and Mrs Isabel Gray Gereche are predeceased. The funeral was from the Kerry Funeral Home on Tuesday afternoon, December 27, with Rev Paul Rumball officiating. Burial will be made at the Auld Kirk Cemetery in the spring.
