In Huntley, on Tuesday, 15th inst., Mr John Chapman, aged 56 years. 1884, Friday July 18, The Almonte Gazette, page 3 ?b?GONE TO THE GRAVE ? ?/b?Death had been unusually busy among aged persons in these parts of late. Last week we had to chronicle the demise of an old and respected resident, and since that time three others have fallen below the scythe of the grim monster, viz.: ..... and Mr John Chapman, Huntley........ Mr Chapman was afflicted with spinal trouble, and suffered greatly. He bore his sufferings with great meekness, and it was a relief to him when death robbed him of his suffering on Tuesday. To all the bereaved ones we tender our sincere sympathy.
