  	Salina Journal ? Apr 4, 2003 NEWTON ? E. Lyle Kidd, 82, Newton, formerly of Clay Center, died Wednesday April 2, 2003. Mr. Kidd was born June 18, 1920, at McMinnville, Ore. He was a retired assistant general manager for the Santa Fe Railroad. Survivors include his wife, Norma; two sons, Doug and Roger, both of Wichita; a daughter, Cindy Soehner of Idalia, Colo.; and six grandchildren. The memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Phelps Funeral Home, 217 W. First, Miltonvale. Inurnment will be in Miltonvale Cemetery, with military rites by Fort Riley. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. There will be no visitation. The body was cremated.
