Barker Funeral Home, McArthur Ave., where Rev. K. J. Murray conducted the service in the Chapel at 2 p.m. Interment was in the United Cemeteries Mr. Lawford, who had resided at 79 Munro St., passed away on Wednesday, January 10, in the C. P. & District Memorial Hospital following a short illness. He was in his 85th year. Born on August 1, 1888, in Smiths Falls, Ont., he was a son of the late Wesley Lawford and his wife, the late Margaret Ferguson. He was educated in Montague Twp. and attended St. Paul's United Church, Franktown, Ont. Prior to his retirement, Mr. Lawford had farmed in Montague Twp. for many years. He is survived by his wife, the former Ethel Elizabeth Scott, whom he had married in Franktown; his son Gordon Ferguson Lawford of Carleton Place and his sister, Mrs. Edith MacDonald, a resident at the 12 Acres Nursing Home. The pallbearers were Messrs.
