Funeral services for a well-known Almonte resident, Mr Delmer John Johnson, are being held this (Wednesday) afternoon at the Kerry Funeral Home, Elgin Street. Mr. Johnson, former secretary-treasurer of the Almonte Public Utility Commission, passed away suddenly Sunday morning at the Almonte General Hospital. He was taken to hospital just five hours before his death. Mr. Johnson had been secretary-treasurer of Almonte Utilities for 12 years prior to his retirement in 1967.
