  	From: 'Prairie Trails to Blacktop - Carlyle and District 1882 - 1982 Published 1982 Page 632 Iva Cameron came from Ontario to the Brandon General Hosptial to train as a nurse. She married Elmer John Doty (son of John and Mary Doty) on 5 June 1924. She was often requested to assist in the birth of children or illnesses during the 1930's. Times got so tough during the 'dirty thirties', Iva and Elmer left their farming in Saskatchewan, moving to Kelwood, Manitoba. In 1940, they moved back to work on Elmer's father's farm. Iva passed away at the age of 58 years and is buried in Moose Creek Cemetery.
