  	Daughter of William Butler and Catherine Pearce Informant, son: W.E. Ralph, Ottawa Burial -- Merivale ----- Catherine Butler would marry Frederick Ralph (1850-1880) in 1879, but he would die a few months later. The 1881 census shows his brother, William Ralph, with wife Margaret (Butler) and their 2 children (Clara and Frederick), and a sister Susanna, plus the widow Catherine (Butler) Ralph--who is also Margaret's sister. Margaret Emily (Butler) Ralph would die in 1885. With William and Catherine now widowed, they would marry in 1886. William would pass away in 1899 and Catherine would survive another 3 decades.
