  	Marion was baptized May 2, 1790 in Rutherglen, Lanark, Scotland, the 2nd of 4 children born to David Park and Agnes Urie. She married Henry Airth on January 29, 1813 at Alexandra Street Parade Church in Glasgow, Lanark. In June 1827, she sailed from Glasgow for Montreal with Henry and their 7 children. She also brought a church letter of commendation with her which stated that 'she was of exceptional moral character and would be an asset to any society in which she found herself'. During the voyage, which would have been extremely difficult and crowded, another child was born June 27th. Sadly, the little boy, named James, died and was buried at sea a couple of days later. Twin sons, Joseph & John, were born in 1828 in Canada, only to die almost immediately. ________ She died of "decay of nature", being ill only 3 months.
