Resting Rolston Funeral Home, Kemptville, on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m., and Friday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Service in the chapel Saturday 2:30 p.m. Interment Oxford Mills. • Notes

  WWI veteran Roy Reston Evans was born July 9, 1897 at Clayton. He was the son of Daniel Richard Evans and Eliza Jane Giles. He enlisted June 10, 1918 in Ottawa. The family's residence at that time was Oxford Mills. He was with the Second Depot Battalion E.O.R. Canadian Expeditionary Force. He served in England. He was discharged July 3, 1919. In 1921 he married Sarah Ellen Weir and they lived in the Oxford Mills area. He died in 1980 and is buried in Oxford Mills Union Cemetery.
