  	Lawrence or Larry Eggertson was born 13 April 1916 in Gimli, Manitoba. His parents were Asbjorn and Sesselja (Gottskalkdottir) Eggertson. Each of them had moved from Iceland to Winnipeg where they married in 1904 and then moved to Gimli before 1916. Larry married Catherine Elizabeth Kidd on 11 April 1941 in Nokomis, Saskatchewan, where Beth had grown up. Larry and Beth moved to Winnipeg, Manitoba where Larry worked as a salesman and then a manager. Larry died on 17 June 2002 in Winnipeg.
