Plunkett. lifelong resident of this district and member of a pioneer family, was held Thursday afternoon from his late residence in Montague township to St. Bcde's Anglican church, thence to the church cemetery. Rev. 11, D. Roberts conducted th services. Mr. Plunkett died at his home on Tuesday following a brief illness. He was in his 81st year and was born in Montague, son of the late Roger Plunkett and his wife, Anne Evans, pioneer residents of the section. He was an Anglican, and was active in politics, being a staunch Conservative. Surviving are his widow, the former Catherine M. Loney, Smiths Falls; and three nieces, Mrs. Gertrude Patterson, Mrs. James Irvine and Mis3 Mamie Giff. all of Smiths Falls. Two daughters predeceased him by some years.
