  	1951, Thursday November 22, The Almonte Gazette front page Mrs Wm H. Millar The death occurred on Tuesday, Nov 20th, at the Rosamond Memorial Hospital, of Mary Turner, wife of the late William H. Millar. She was 76 years of age at the time of her death. The late Mrs Millar was born in Ramsay, a daughter of the late John Turner and his wife, Roseilla Barber. She was educated in the local schools and as a young woman married the late William H. Millar who predeceased her some years ago. Left to mourn her loss are two sons, Lawrence Edgar, John Raymond of Almonte, also five grandchildren and three great grandchildren and one sister. Emma, Mrs Wm McEwen of Ramsay and three brothers, John S. Turner of Carleton Place, Jas B. of Ramsay and P. Morris also of Ramsay. She was a faithful and devoted wife and mother and her entire life was centred about her home. The funeral was held this Thursday afternoon from the Comba Funeral Home to the Auld Kirk Cemetery. The pallbearers were Delmer Millar, Leonard Millar, Ed James, Jas Abram, Nelson McKay and George Gomme. Among the many floral tributes were pieces from Mississippi Lodge A.F. & A.M. No 147; Textile Union, Canadian Legion, Rosamond office staff, the Collie family and Renfrew Woollen Mills.
