It is a station on the line of the Brockville and Ottawa Railway. This place was founded by the late Daniel Shipman, Esq., and it is progressing with great rapidity. There is considerable trade here in flour & lumber. Distance from the County Town, Perth is 26 miles, from Ottawa 35 miles, and from Brockville by railway is 52 miles. Value od assessed property in the village $60,000. Mail daily. Population about 500.
