Notes: Pte. John H. Munro (January 30, 1923-September 11, 1978) was son of Ernie and Edna Munro. He trained at Camp Borden. He served with the 48th Highlanders Regiment in Italy and Holland. When he returned his sister Wilma recalls going to the Ottawa train station with her parents. The soldiers marched to the Coliseum where families were made to sit in alphabetical order to await their loved ones. John was brother of Delbert, Daniel, Howard, Kenny, Carman (Pete), Eileen McLeod, Wilma Munro, Marion Munro and Muriel Terpstra. He married Larence Ladouceur and they had two boys Howard and Ross. He worked for Metcalfe Construction, Lindsay Farm Equipment and Petrofina, Canada. John is buried in the United Cemetery in Clayton. Family/Spouse: Larence Ladoucer. Larence was born in 1929; died on 6 May 2022 in Almonte, Mississippi Mills, Lanark County, Ontario, Canada; was buried in Clayton United Church Cemetery, Ramsay, Mississippi Mills, Lanark County, Ontario, Canada.
