Mrs. Alva Simpson of Ashton, Ont., died recently at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Earl Graham of Goulborne. She was 78.
Daughter of the late Mr, and Mrs. James Simpson, the former Mary Ann Simpson married, in 1911, Alva Simpson who died in 1951.
She leaves, besides her daughter, a son, Blair of Ashton, ' a sister, Mrs. R. Dewar of Carleton Place and two grandchildren.
The funeral service was held Tuesday at the Fleming Brothers Funerai Home. Rev. James Hamilton officiated. Interment was in Dewar's Cemetery,

Peacefully in hospital, Carleton Place, Ontario on Tuesday, January 22, 2002, in her 89th year. Mae Elizabeth Simpson, beloved wife and friend of the late Mills Earl Graham (1993). Beloved mother of Ross Graham. Beloved friend of Russell Cathcart for over 50 vears, a dearly dependent friend, so faithful to me, during my illness. Sister of the late Blair Simpson of Ashton. Daughter of the late Alva E. and Mary Ann Simpson. Friends may call at the Kerry Funeral Home, 61 Lake Avenue West, Carleton Place on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 , p.m. Service in the chapel on Friday at 2 p.m. with Rev. David Spivey officiating. Spring interment Munster Union Cemetery. In memory of Mae, memorial donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Carleton Place Hospital would be appreciated.
