    OBITUARY WILBERT HENRY BRYDGES

    A resident of Fairview Manor, Mr. Wilbert Henry Brydges, passed away at the Manor on
    Saturday, May 26, 1979. He was 84.
    Before retirement Mr. Brydges farmed in Ramsay Township. He was a member of St. Paul's Anglican Church, and was a veteran of the First World War.
    Born in Ramsay Township on January 1, 1895, he was a son of the late Samuel Brydges and his wife, Margaret Young. He received his education at S. S. No. 12, Ramsay.
    He was married at Almonte on November 12, 1924 to the former Myrtle Thompson, who
    predeceased him in 1945.
    Mr. Brydges is survived by six sons, Keith, Kenneth, Robert, Cecil, Gordon and Ivan, all of
    Almonte, and six daughters, Katherine (Mrs. Francis Gardiner), Galetta; Idabel (Mrs Carman
    James), Almonte; Mary (Mrs. Armer Howie), Carp; Marion (Mrs. Graham Armstrong), Carp;
    Edith (Mrs. John Campbell), Fitzroy Harbour; and Grace (Mrs. Sterling Howie), Stittsville;
    (three sets of twins).
    Also surviving are a brother Howard of Almonte, and three sisters, Ruby (Mrs. Gilbert Grainger), Arnprior; Myrtle (Mrs. William Drynan), Clayton, and Roda (Mrs Clifford Dtynan),
    Amonte. A brother, John, is predeceased.
    The funeral was held from the Kerry Funeral Home, Elgin Street, to St. Paul's Anglican
    Church for service on Monday, May 28, at 2 p.m. Rev. Harry Brown officating. Burial was at
    St. Paul's Cemetery.
    Pallbearers were George Thompson, Ross Craig, James McGregor, Joe Madden,
    Orville Brydges and Charles Symingto

Dear daughter of the late Samuel Brydges and the late Margaret Young. Dear sister of Ruby (Mrs Gilbert Grainger), Arnprior. Predeceased by 3 brothers Wilbert, John and Howard Brydges and I sister Myrtle (Mrs Wm M Drynan). Also survived by several nieces and nephews. In her 87th year. No visitation by request. Cremation Pinecrest Crematorium, Ottawa. Interment of Ashes, Clayton United Cemetery. A Memorial service was held at the Almonte United Church on Monday February 20th.

Beloved wife of Francis Gardiner, dear mother of Bill (Judy), Myrtle (Fern) Chartier, Bert, David (Theresa) and Gary (Tammy). Predeceased by a son-in-law Hugh McKerracher. Dear grandmother of Kerri (Dennis) Harrington, Vikki, Samantha, Benjamin, Dawn, David, James (Sarah), Daniel, Mikki-Jo, Kurtis and Oliver.     Peacefully in hospital on Wednesday October 19, 2016, a month and a half after celebrating his 90th birthday. Son of the late Wilbert and Myrtle (Thompson) Brydges. Loving Husband of the late Mary (Lancaster). Friend to Norma. Loving father to Art, Paul, Nancy (Claude) Proc, Sue (Ron) Ford and Jim (Lisa). Always remembered by his grandchildren David (Kaylie), John (Tracy), Sarah Proc and the late Thomas, Chelsea (John), Janet (Rick). Always remembered by his great-grandchildren Brooklyn, Iyla, and Emma Proc, Mackenzie and Jordyn Knowles. Dear brother of Kenneth (his twin) and Gordon and by his sisters Mary Howie and Grace Howie. Keith is predeceased by sisters Katherine Gardiner, Isabel James, Marion Armstrong, Edith Campbell and by his brothers Robert, Cecil and Ivan. He will be dearly remembered by nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. Keith was a farmer his whole life, a passionate gardener, a devoted bus driver for over 50 years and compassionately gave his time volunteering through different services. Family and friends may visit the C.R. Gamble Funeral Home and Chapel Inc. (127 Church St., Almonte, ON. 613-256-3313) on Sunday, October 23, 2016 from 2-4pm & 6-8pm. Funeral Service will be held in St. Paul's Anglican Church (70 Clyde St., Almonte, ON.) on Monday, October 24, 2016 at 11am. Interment St. Paul's Cemetery and reception in the Almonte Civitan Hall will follow.
