    (nee Simpson) Suddenly on Sunday, August 11, 2002. Shirley is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, William Sr., her son William J. Jr. (Deborah), sisters Elizabeth Betty Benoit, Sheila Whitmore, Willa Simpson (Rheal Monette), her wonderful grandson Jason William and many nieces and nephews. Shirley was a member of the Old Guard Henry Birks and Sons and a retired sister of the Canadian Labour Congress. She was also a member of Woodroffe United Church. A private service will be held at the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 3440 Richmond Road (between Bayshore Dr. and Baseline Rd.). Interment Pinecrest Cemetery.
