Peacefully at Willowdate Retirement Centre, Smiths Falls on Thursday, June 25, 2009 in his 90th year. Beloved husband of the late Eleanor Giles. Much loved father of Donna Timmins (the late Alvin), Shirley Madden, (Ray), Patricia Albert (Peter), Bonnie Armstrong (Cliff) and David Boal. Proud and loving Grandfather of 9 grandchildren and great-grandfather (GGP) of 14 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by brother Clarence (the late Marion), twin brother Harold (the late Vera) and sister Kathleen Melanson (the late Joe). He will also be greatly missed by brother-in-law Willard Giles, and many nieces and nephews of the extended Boal and Giles families, and his special "Card Playing" friends. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thanks to the staff at Willowdale Retirement Centre for all their love and care. Friends may call at the Almonte Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 154 Elgin Street on Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Monday at 11 am, followed by cremation.
