Mrs Rita A. Lemieux
Funeral services were held on Monday, Oct 24, 1966 for Mrs Rita lemieux, 54, of Aberdeen St. N., Chapleau, who passed away on October 22, in Lady Minto Hospital. Mrs Kimieux , the former Rita edwards, had been ill only a short while before her death. Requiem mass was sung with Rev. Fr. Lampron officiating and interment was in the Chapleau Municipal Cemetery.

Born in Pembroke, Mrs Lemieux came to Chapleau at an early age and received her education here, graduating from chapleau High School. She took up nursing and received her training at Western Hospital in Toronto. Returning to Chapleau in 1938, shw married Robert Lemieux and has been a resident of Chapleau ever since.. In recent years she again took up the nursing profession and was on staff of Lady Minto Hospital when struck by illness last July.

As a member of Sacred Heart Church. Mrs. Lemieux took an active part in the Catholic Women's League.

She is survived by her husband, Robert, three daughters, Mrs. Theresa Towell of Calgary, Miss evelyn Lemieux of Toronto, Mrs. Anne Lacroix of Cochrane and Robert Lemieux of Chapleau, a brother.

also surviving are four sisters and three brothers. Mrs Edna Nixon, Weston, Mrs Elizabeth Noonan, Hamilton; Mrs. Ethel Shock, Redding, California; Mrs. Mary Denmark, Sudbury; Howard Edwards, Timmins and Harold Lawrence Edwards of Chapleau.

Acting as pallbearers were Raoul Fortin, T. Edwards Jr., A. Martel, E. Fortin, N. Lemieux

Rita married Robert Lemieux on 20 Jul 1938 in Chapleau, Sudbury District, Ontario, Canada. Robert was born in 1908 in Chapleau, Sudbury District, Ontario, Canada; died in 1986. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
