    Mrs Allan Naismith
Last Thursday morning, Mrs Allan Naismith, of this town was about the house in her usual health; that morning she took a sudden and severe chill, pneumonia developed and on Monday, at 11 p.m., in spite of all that could be cone for her succumbed, to the great grief of the near relatives. The suddenness of the event sent a thrill through the community where she was so well and favourably known, Mrs Naismith maiden name was Ann Gilmour and was the eldest and only surviving daughter of Mr. John Gilmour of the New England section. About thirty years ago she married Mr Naismith and proved an exemplary wife and mother. Six children were born to them, of whom four survive, viz.; Jennie (Mrs John A. Yuill) and Mr Lawrence Naismith of Ramsay, and Misses Maggie and Mamie at home. These, with the bereaved husband and the other relatives have the deep sympathy of a very large circle of warm friends, deceased having been beloved by all who had the pleasure of her acquaintance. The funeral took place on Wednesday afternoon from the family residence on Colberne street to the eighth line cemetery. It was an exceedingly large one ? a deserved tribute to the departed. The services was conducted by Rev Mr Hutcheon, pastor of St Andrew's congregation, of which Mrs Naismith was a member
