    The death occurred in Ottawa on Friday last of Mrs John M. Halpenny, a former resident of Carleton Place, and her funeral took place on Monday afternoon from the residence of her daughter, Mrs W.R. Morrison. Rev Norman Coll, of Parkdale United Church, conducted the service, assisted by Rev H.E. Warren. The cortege proceeded to Auld Kirk cemetery, Almonte, where burial took place. Many floral pieces were received by the bereaved family, including tributes from the staff of the Privy Council office and machine shop employees of the J.R. Booth Limited. Mrs Halpenny was a sister of Mrs A.C. Dunlop, of Carleton Place, and the late Mrs D. Sutherland, Mrs H.R. Bowland is a niece.

    The Late Mr T.W. Kellough
    After being a sufferer for several years with an affection of the heart, Mr T.W. Kellough passed on to the Great Beyond on Tuesday of this week. The late Thomas Wilson Kellough was born on the second line of Ramsay sixty years ago in April, 1858, being a son of the late Mr and Mrs John Kellough. After his marriage to Miss Margaret S. Robertson thirty-one years ago they lived on a farm on the same concession until ill-health compelled him to give up the arduous duties of farm life and five years ago they came to Almonte and took up residence on Ann street. Besides his widow, five of a family are left. These are J.E. Kellough, of Sutherland, Sask; J. Clarence Kellough, Ramsay; Mrs Chas Giles, Ramsay; Miss Louise and Master Wilbert, at home. One brother and four sisters are also living ? Mr Robert Kellough, Almonte; Mrs D. Sutherland and Mrs A.C Dunlop, Carleton Place; Mrs W.S. Moir, Almonte, and Mrs John Halpenny, Ottawa. The funeral will take place on Friday afternoon at 2.30 o'clock from his late residence on Ann street to the Presbyterian cemetery at the eighth line. Service at the home at 2 p.m.

    R. Kellough Dies at Sister's Home
    CARLETON PLACE Ont., Feb 6 - Robert Kellough died today at the home of his sister, Mrs Adam Dunlop, town line, Carleton Place, at the age of 69 years. Mr Kellough was the son of the late John and Mrs Kellough and was born in Ramsay township on Dec 12, 1860. He lived on the old homestead until seven years ago when he moved to Carleton Place where he has since resided. Mr Kellough was of fine character and his quiet and unassuming ways gained for him many friends who were greatly shocked when told the news. The funeral will be held on Saturday afternoon at two o'clock from the home of Adam Dunlop, where service will be conducted by Rev Edwin Smith of Zion United church, of which Mr Kellough was a member. The body will afterward be placed in St James' vault. Surviving are three sisters, Mrs David Sutherland and Mrs Adam Dunlop of Carleton Place, and Mrs J. M. Halpenny, of Ottawa.

    Mrs A.C. Dunlop
    The death occurred last Wednesday afternoon at her home on the town line of Mrs Dunlop, beloved wife of Mr Adam C. Dunlop, after a month's illness. The deceased was born in Ramsay, her maiden name Matilda Rae Kellough, a daughter of the late John Kellough. She was married to Mr Dunlop 47 years ago and their home had been in Carleton Place ever since. Besides her husband Mrs Dunlop is survived by two sons George of Detroit, and Percy of Carleton Place, and two daughters, Mrs Desmond Smythe of Ottawa and Miss Louise at home. Deceased was a member of Memorial Park United Church, where she took a keen interest in the work of the Women's organizations, and her minister, Rev D.C. Munro, conducted the services at her funeral, which took place on Friday afternoon last to the Auld Kirk cemetery, on the 8th line, Ramsay. A very large number of flowers were received, silent tributes of respect and sympathy.

    Matilda married Adam Chambers Dunlop on 23 Mar 1891.     Sergeant / Wireless Operator / Air Gunner.

    On Jun 27, 1941 Vickers wellington Bomber R1662 on No 23 Operational Training Unit took off from RAF Pershore for a cross-country exercise. At about 12.15 the aircraft crashed with some force in a field between RAF Bawtry and RAF Finningley in South Yorkshire, England.

    Howard, with the Royal Canadian Air Force, but attached to The Royal Air Force suffered a broken leg and serious burns in the crash. His burns were so severe that he died the following day.

    DUNLOP, W. Robert "Bob"
    In hospital, Perth on Thursday March 13th, 2003 W. Robert "Bob" Dunlop. Bob served for 24 years with the R.C.M.P. and 17 years with the Bank of Canada. He was the son of the late Percy and Anna (Armstrong) Dunlop. Beloved husband of Joan (Purdon-vandenBosch) Dunlop; loved father of Debbie Hyland of Edmonton, Anne (John) Colucci of Barrie; grandfather of Julie and Thomas Hyland and Amy and Laura Colucci; stepfather of David (Janet) vandenBosch of St. John's Newfoundland, Rob (Sarah) vandenBosch of Frankville, David (Regina) Johnson of Franktown; brother of late Helene Kenny. Bob will be sadly missed by his brother-in-law Clayton Kenny of Carleton Place, Marth Purdon and Jean and Wayne Sabourin, his family and good friends. Friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, Perth, Friday March 14th, 2003 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the Chapel Saturday at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be held in the spring in Auld Kirk Cemetery, Almonte. In remembrance, contributions to the Foundation of the Great War Memorial Hospital, Perth or the Lung Association would be appreciated.
