ARTHUR TAYLOR Peacefully, on Saturday, June 22, 2002, at the St. Boniface Hospital, Arthur Taylor passed away at 87 years of age. Arthur is now with his wife Norma; daughter Pam; son-in-law Brian Kliewer; and grandchildren, Lisa and Michael Kliewer; also predeceased by his sisters, Grace Amos and Effie Gammon. Arthur is survived by his brother Robert (Rose) Taylor; sister Mildred Lappage; nephews, Ron Lappage (Sandra), Jim Sims (Liann), Richard Taylor; nieces, Darragh Zaroski (John), Glenice Naiman (Adam), Patricia Bowers, Brenda Ritsema (Ed) sisters-in-law, Roma Duncan, Gert Naugler, and Nina Knowlton. Arthur was born in 1914 at Beinfait, SK (where his father was the station agent). Arthurs father and the family moved to Dryden, ON, where Arthur spent his school years. In 1935 Arthur enlisted in the Air Force, after many transfers across the country he got posted to Winnipeg in 1955 and retired from the Air Force in 1965 as a Warrant Officer, First Class. He then was employed by the Manitoba Government, retiring in 1978. Thanks to the doctors and nurses at St. Boniface Hospital for the care and comfort given. Special thanks to family and friends for their company and support in the last week of his life. A special thanks to Freeman Meyers, who spent a great deal of time with Arthur since Norma passed away. Memorial service will be held at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave., on Friday, June 28 at 12:30 p.m. with Rev. Quering officiating. A gathering of family and friends will follow the service in the Chapel Lawn Reception Centre. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of ones choice. Norma was born on 18 Apr 1920 in Advocate Harbour, Cumberland County, Nova Scotia, Canada; died on 15 Feb 1999 in Winnipeg, Greater Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada; was buried in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Winnipeg, Greater Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
