Graduated from the U of Manitoba in 1924. Took a year of teacher's training. Taught in the Winnipeg schools at Jr. High level - English and some history. Contract voided when she married.

After her death, Edgar and Kathleen shared equally in the value of the house (with Ruby) but they turned over their share to Ruby. The district had gone downhill and they wanted to sell but Ruby rented it and kept pouring money into it until she finally had to realize the futility of t it.

moved from home of 26 years in Westfield to Leisure Village in Lakewood NJ after Ray died.
In Oct 1979 moved to Broadmead, a complete care community, to be closer to Alice, about an hour's drive, non denominational facility run by the Quakers of Stony Run meeting in Baltimore.
