    At the Victoria General Hospital on Friday, August 29, 1980. Survived by his loving wife, Ethel; daughter and son-in-law Dr. John and Mary Emerson; and grandson, Scott of Victoria; sister, Mrs. K.E. Betts, Maryland, U.S.A.; brother, John A. English, Toronto, Ontario; numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. English, a civil engineer was employed by the CNR. for 35 years and a was a past President of the James Bay New Horizon Society. Memorial service Wednesday, September 3, at 2 p.m. in the First United Church Chapel, Balmoral at Quadra. Reverend Hugh Hunter officiating. Flowers .gratefully declined, friends so desiring may contribute to the James Bay Horizon Society, 234 Menzies St., Victoria, V8V 2G7. Arrangements through the Memorial Society of B.C. and First Memorial Services.

    Edgar married Ethel Wilson on 29 Sep 1942 in Winnipeg, Greater Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Ethel (daughter of Neil Wilson and Nellie Vanderpyl) was born on 19 Sep 1905 in Whitewater, Southwestern Census Division, Manitoba, Canada; died on 22 Jun 1998 in Saanich, Capital Regional District, British Columbia, Canada; was buried on 26 Jun 1998 in Royal Oak Burial Park Cemetery, Victoria, Capital Regional District, British Columbia, Canada.
