    After a couragous battle with cancer, at the Ottawa General Hospital, on Friday November 20, 2009 at the age of 77.

    Best friend and soul mate of Margaret (nee James) for 56 years. Devoted and supportive father of Rick (Chris nee McKenna), Henry (Wendy nee Poirier) and Patsy (Murray Lowry). Loving grampy to Lisa (Enio), Jason, Brandon, Sidni, Austin (Katie), Henry Jr. (Alison), Stephanie (Matt), Ben and Keith (Melissa). Proud great-grampy of Karson, Anne-Marie, Joshua and Meghan. Survived by his brother Lloyd (Beryl), his brothers-in-law Lloyd James (Agnes), Wesley James, Glen James (Helen), Clarence James (Marion) and sisters-in-law Mary James, Dorothy (Jack Dunn-deceased), Flo (Bill Woodhouse) and Helen (Jack Gemmill), and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

    Alan R. Barker Funeral Home,
    19 McArthur Avenue, Carleton Place, on Monday and Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service Wednesday in the chapel at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Christ Church Anglican Cemetery, Ashton. A reception following the interment will take place at Hobbs Bros. Sale Pavillion 2394 Dwyer Hill Road. The family wish to thank the staff of the Carleton Place Hospital for their ecxeptional care.
