Died:
Son of Thomas Henry Lovell and Jessie Ivy (Tant) Lovell.
Married Mary Madeleine Miller on January 13, 1940.
Roy enlisted for service in World War Two on September 27, 1939 with the Winnipeg Grenadiers, regimental number H6654. He was with D Company, 13th Platoon. He was with the Winnipeg Grenadiers at Hong Long, and taken prisoner on December 25, 1941, (but was not reported as a POW until October 1942). In September 1943, he was transferred to Tokyo Camp 5B, Niiagata-Rinko Camp, working for the Rinko Coal Mining Company. He died here of illness.

Thomas married Mary MADELINE Miller on 13 Jan 1940. Mary (daughter of William Alfred "Fred" Miller and Clara Jane Kidd) was born on 17 Nov 1915 in Manitoba, Canada; died on 3 Aug 1978 in New Westminster, Greater Vancouver Regional District, British Columbia, Canada. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
