    George's obituary was published in the October 10, 1981 issue of the Kansas City Star & Times, Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri it reads in part:

    ?b?"GEORGE W. LASHBROOK?/b?

    George W. "Pete" Lashbrook, 40, Odessa, Texas, formerly of Kansas City, died Saturday at a hospital in Odessa. He was born in Kansas City and had lived in Odessa five years. Mr. Lashbrook was a iron worker. He was a Catholic. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Rose Lee Lashbrook of the home; three sons, a daughter; and his mother, Mrs. Dorlis M. Lashbrook, Independence. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Park Law Chapel; burial in Memorial Park Cemetery, Kansas City. The rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. today at the chapel, where friends may call from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today."
