    Final tribute was made to the memory of Mrs John J. Johnson at her funeral on Friday, Feb 12, which was held from the Comba Funeral Home. Rev James M. Ritchie of the Almonte Presbyterian Church conducted the service. Mrs Johnson passed away at her home on Malcolm Street after an illness of three months. She was in her 84th year. Deceased was the former Miss Mary Jane McKittrick, daughter of the late Robert McKittrick and his wife, Rachel Potter, and was born in Pakenham Township. In 1901, she and Mrs Johnson were married and have made their home in Almonte ever since. In 1951, they celebrated their Golden Wedding. Mrs Johnson leaves her husband, one daughter, (Viola) Mrs C.R. Hodge of Smiths Falls; two sons, Delmer and Kenneth of Almonte; one grandson, Donald Johnson of Smiths Falls, and one great grandson Kim Johnson of Smiths Falls. The pallbearers were Messrs. Howard Johnson, Douglas Heise, Arthur Landry, Chas. Houston, Eric Johnston and William Patterson. Interment was in the Auld Kirk Cemetery.

    James Raymond (Ray) Hunt passed away peacefully at the Bow River Manor on April 15, 2006 at the age of 90 years. Bob, the oldest son in the family was born on January 24, 1925 on a farm near Kennedy, Sk. Except for one winter spent working for the CNR in Regina, he spent the early part of his life helping his Dad on the farm. In the mid-thirties his family moved to a farm east of Langbank, which Bob later purchased, and it was there Bob began farming on his own. On July 12, 1949 he married Ruth Lonseth of Dinsmore, Sk, and for the next 63 1/2 years, the couple enjoyed country living, and the happiness brought by having many good friends. They were blessed with four sons - Alvin, Ron, Terry and Loren. In the fall of 2011 they sold their house, and for 2 months lived with family in Regina, before moving to their new home in Moosomin. The couple very much enjoyed their year together there. They were visiting family in Regina during the holidays, when Bob was suddenly taken from us. Funeral service will be held in the Moosomin Convention Center (by the rink, on Wright Road) in Moosomin, Sk on Saturday January 12, 2013, at 11 am, with Jim Atcheson and Agnes Smiley officiating.     The sudden death of Mr Kenneth W. Johnson of 120 Malcolm street, Almonte, occurred at the Almonte General Hospital early Sunday morning, May 20, 1973. He had suffered an acute attack of coronary thrombosis, and passed away just ten hours later. He was 69 years of age. Mr Johnson was employed as a stationary engineer at Zephyer Textiles. He was a member of the Almonte Presbyterian Church and the Masonic Order. He was born in Almonte on June 17, 1912, a son of the late John James Johnson and his wife, Mary McKittrick. He was educated in Almonte Public and High Schools. Mr Johnson was married at Almonte on October 24, 1936, to the former Esther Scheels, who survives. Also surviving are one brother, Delmer J. Johnson of 124 Malcolm street, Almonte, and a sister, Viola (Mrs Cyril) Hodge, 84 Chambers street, Smiths Falls. The funeral was held from the Comba Funeral Home, Church street, Almonte, on Tuesday afternoon, May 22nd, at 2.30 o'clock, with interment at the Auld Kirk Cemetery. Rev Douglas McQuaig of Almonte Presbyterian Church, conducted the services. Pallbearers were Eric Johnson, Russell Johnson, Howard Johnson, Douglas Heise and William Blakeney.

    Al passed away peacefully on Friday, May 11, 2012 surrounded by his family.     It is with great sadness that we announce Donald Patterson Johnson, our beloved husband, father and Papa made a swift farewell on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at Almonte General Hospital; his birthplace ninety years prior. He is survived by the love of his life for 65 years, Lorna (Jamieson), seven children; Kim Johnson and his son Kyle, Cynthia Cox (Michael) and children Adrian and Ben, Angela Gibson (Randy) and children Lauren, Matt and Michael, Nancy van Veghel (Hugh) and children Tyler, Toby and Timothy, Peter Johnson (Colleen) and children Sophie and Jodie, Alice Brohman (Patrick) and children Daniel, Emily and Sam, Miriam Muir (Jim) and children Olivia, Annie and Isla, sister-in-law Alice Mason and brother-in-law John G. Jamieson. Predeceased by parents Delmer and Ethel Johnson. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 112 Beckwith St. N., Smiths Falls on Saturday, February 18, 2017 from 12 noon until service in the chapel at 2 p.m. Don was for many years actively involved with both the Children's Aid Society of Lanark County and Trinity United Church where donations may be made.
