Died on Friday Mar. 8 1935. Funeral was held on Sunday Mar. 10 at the home of her sister, Mrs Duncan Aitken of Almonte, to the Auld Kirk vault. Interment to be held in the spring. Rev. A. J. Fowlie of the Presbyterian Church had charge of the service and the pallbearers were Messrs. Allan Leishman, Lorne and Ernest Kelly, Ernest Leishman, Thomas Leishman and Robert Leishman.
During her many years of residence here, the late Mrs. kelly had made for herself many friends who learned with great regret of her demise. Mrs. kelly was one of the aged members of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Arnprior, to whom a special service was dedicated to the "aged and shut-ins" by the pastor, Rev. Thos. McAfee on a recent Sunday.
The late Mrs. Kelly, who was the former Helen Leishman, was born 78 years ago in Almonte and moved to Arnprior 41 years ago where she had made her home.
Her husband, Charles Kelly predeceased her four years ago. Surviving her are three sons, Ernest of Arnprior, Lorne of Kingston, and Fred of Calgary. In addition there survive, three sisters and two brothers, namely, Mrs. Duncan Aitken of Almonte; Mrs. Stewart of Hartford, Conn.; Mrs. Morrow of Bellville; Thomas Kelly of Almonte and Ernest Kelly of North Bay.
